Andrea Boggio

I am a Professor of Legal Studies. I teach graduate and undergraduate courses in law with a focus on business and health law.

In 2025-26, I am on sabbatical and will hold the Fulbright-Lund University Distinguished Scholar in Public International Law at Lund University in Sweden. This position is given to Fulbright awardees and aims to foster collaboration between human rights scholars in the US and Sweden

My research focuses on science, technology, and innovation policy, with a particular emphasis on the legal and ethical aspects of biosciences. My most recent book is The Human to Science: History, Development and Normative Content (Oxford University Press, 2024).

I am an Associate Editor of Human Reproduction (a European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology publication) and the Journal of Legal Studies Education. I am a member of the Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Science & Technology Policy Fellowship (MASTPF) (an initiative led by the Scientific Citizenship Initiative), a member of the College Board鈥檚 College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) 天美传媒Law Test Development Committee, and a consultant for the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA) Foundation.

I am a member of the New York Bar and a practicing attorney.
